The neighborhood is served by the Crescent Heights High School, which also serves many of the other communities in the surrounding area. There are around 1700 students enrolled into the school each year, making it one of the larger schools in the area. The school’s facilities underwent major renovation in the eighties, and now include a second gymnasium, a theatre, and a student centre.

For having such direct access to downtown, Crescent Heights is a safe and quiet community. Originally its own village, the community has retained some of its small-town charms and is a great place for those with a family or a single working professional. Crescent Heights has retained the safety and serenity of a smaller, more insular neighborhood while still being directly connected to the inner-city.

There are a large variety of homes for sale in Crescent Heights. Many of them single family residential homes, some of which have been renovated or re-developed. The average price for a home in this area is around $500,000. There are many condominiums in the neighborhood as well, which have an average price of $240,000.
